Both had bad side effects and showed little improvement. I decided to try a natural supplement before putting her through back surgery. In January of 2006 I had a knee replacement and it took quite a while to get back on my feet. My G.P. would only let me take Tylenol which really did nothing for me. Ontario Canada I am an old nurse and a person who inherited arthritic knees and a bad back.(My family members and relatives have a myriad of a metal and artificial joints in their bodies, which have been required due to severe pain and immobility).In addition to arthritis, I also suffer from fibromyalgia. I have had 2 knee surgeries and my orthopod told me that I should plan on seeing him very soon for an artificial joint as I had almost no cartilage left in my knees and there was nothing else he could do for me ,except replace the joint. Since then, I have had many surgeries; a left torn rotator cuff repair, two neck operations, one with an anterior fusion and discectomy at the level of C-5-6-7 with 5 screws and 4 metal plates, then a posterior operation at the same levels but with 6 more screws and two more metal plates. I take celadrin and do get some benefit from it. What I have found most beneficial from Celadrin is not what you would expect. It has helped reduce my cholesterol. I went from having constant high cholesterol numbers for my entire life ( aged 50 now) where at one point it reached as high as 525 when the doctors put me on statins. I had to stop taking the statins due to nose bleeds and muscle soreness. Since I have been using Celadrin my cholesterol has dropped from 325 to 211. This is unheard for me. I am not sure how much help it is giving me with my neck as I am not sure anything can really help me now with all the metal in there, but you certainly have helped with my cholesterol and you ought to use my testimonial for such a purpose.
